The United Arab Emirates is not a signatory to the "Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement for the Legalization of Foreign Official Documents, dated October 5, 1961." Therefore, official documents certified by an apostille have no legal force in the UAE and are not exempt from the legalization procedure.
